IIT JAM 2020 Admission Dates Rescheduled: As per the latest update, IIT Kanpur – the institute incharge of conducting IIT JAM 2020 has extended the timeline for MSc Admission Process keeping in mind the on-going COVID-19 lockdown. The revision in the IIT MSc Admission 2020 Dates has been made by the exam authority keeping in mind the hardships faced by the students in completing the application process due to the extended COVID-19 lockdown until 3rd May. According notification, the 1st MSc Admission List for IIT JAM 2020 exam will be released on 1st June.
IIT MSc Admission 2020 – Revised Dates
Taking into account the hardship and challenges being faced by the students to complete the application process for IIT MSc Admission Process 2020, the exam authority has revised the application dates. The revised dates are as follows:

For 2020 session, the IIT JAM Exam to screen students for admission to MSc programmes offered by IITs was held by IIT Kanpur. The result for IIT JAM 2020 was announced in March and now admission process based on it will commence soon. According to data shared by the exam conducting institute, a total of 73,360 candidates had registered for JAM 2020 and 62654 candidates had appeared for it. Of this number, 14623 candidates (23% of the appeared candidates) qualified the examination.

Provisional Admission Based on Undertaking
In addition to extending the application timelines, the exam authority has also released a notification which says that students many seek provisional admission to MSc Programmes offered by various IITs on the basis of IIT JAM 2020 scores without submission of the relevant documents. However, in order to avail this option, students will be required to submit a declaration or undertaking confirming that they will be submitting the necessary admission related documents at a later day, as prescribed by the respective institutes.
