IIT JAM 2022 Registration Date Extended: IIT Roorkee – the exam conducing authority for IIT JAM 2022 Exam has decided to extend the application dates for Masters level entrance exam until 14th October 2021. The application process is currently underway for the next session of the exam which will be held on 13th February 2022.  Candidates can now apply for JAM 2022 exam until 14th October 2021 by logging onto the exam portal at jam.iitr.ac.in. Relaxed Eligibility Criteria for JAM 2022 Exam

For 2022 session, the exam authority has relaxed the eligibility criteria for JAM 2022 exam. For this session, candidates do not need to satisfy any minimum marks in qualifying exam as part of the eligibility criteria. The official notice in this regards reads “The candidates must PASS the qualifying degree examination. In case if a candidate is promoted without a marksheet, the promotion certificate or a document accompanying the promotion certificate duly signed by the Head of the Institute must mention the subjects taken in that semester/year to evaluate the MEQ requirements for admission to a specific program.” Earlier, the minimum qualifying marks was 55 per cent or 5.5 CGPA, however the same has been done away.

How to Register for IIT JAM 2022 Exam?

Candidates who fulfil the JAM eligibility criteria can fill the application form of their desired course. The application form for JAM 2022 has been released in the online mode only. Candidates will have to visit the official website to apply. The step by step procedure to fill the JAM application form 2022 is given below -

• Step 1 - Go to the official website - joaps.iitr.ac.in.
• Step 2 - Click on the ‘New User? Register Here’ tab.
• Step 3 - Enter the required details and click on the ‘Submit’ tab.
• Step 4 - Now an enrolment ID will be sent to the registered email ID.
• Step 5 - Use the registered email ID/enrolment number and password to login.
• Step 6 - Fill the application form with the necessary information.
• Step 7 - Upload the document in the prescribed format and size.
• Step 8 - Pay the application fee and submit the form.

The candidates will have to pay the application fee of JAM 2022 in online mode via credit card, debit card or net banking. The JAM 2022 application fee for the candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories is Rs 1500, while for the candidates belonging to the SC, ST and PwD categories is Rs 750.
