NTA JEE Main 2022 Latest Update: JEE Main 2022 Exam Dates have been revised for the upcoming April Session by the NTA. What are New Exam Dates for JEE Main 2022?
Amid news about CBSE 12th Result 2022 being delayed, the NTA has decided to postpone the JEE Main 2022 Engineering entrance exam from its original schedule. According to the original timeline, the engineering entrance exam was to commence from 16th April, which has now been revised to 21st April 2022. According to the revised dates, JEE Main 2022 will be held on 21st, 24th, 25th and 29th April as well as on 1st and 4th May 2022.

Why was JEE Main 2022 Date Changed?
JEE Main 202 Exam date was revised or changed by the NTA after receiving representation from several students groups and stakeholders. Students’ group had sought changes in the JEE Main 2022 Exam Dates to avoid a direct clash with their annual Board Exams. In response to this, NTA has revised the JEE Main 2022 Dates and decided to postpone it by a week. The official notification of NTA in this regard reads "In view of the persistent demand from the student community and their support, the National Testing Agency has decided to reschedule the dates of JEE (Main)-2022 Session 1." What is the JEE Main 2022 Last Date to apply?
While the apex testing agency has decided to change the exam dates for April session of JEE Main 2022, it has not notified any extension in the application timelines for the same. According to the information bulleting, the JEE Main 2022 Application Process is to be held online from 1st March 2022 to 31st March 2022. There are no changes that have been announced for JEE Main 2022 Application Dates and they remain the same as notified earlier:
- JEE Main April Session Application Start Date: 1st March 2022
- JEE Main April Session Application End Date: 31st March 2022
When will NTA intimate JEE Mains 2022 Exam City?
Another major event for which students should know and remember the date is the Intimation of Exam City. NTA – National Testing Agency will notify the JEE Main 2022 Exam City in the first week of April as per the official notification. The announcement of exam city for candidates will allow them to make the necessary arrangements to reach the exam centre to appear for the engineering entrance exam.
According to the information brochure, JEE Main 2022 Exam will be held in 501 cities in India and 13 cities outside the country. The exam city allotted to a candidate is based on the choices filled at the time of filling the application form. During the JEE Main application and registration process, candidates are presented with city choices/options that are near to the address provided by them. This is done to avoid long-distance travel for candidates amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
When is JEE Main 2022 Admit Card Release Date?
Just like the intimation of JEE Main 2022 Exam City, the release of the JEE Main 2022 Admit Card Date has also been kept a secret by NTA for now. However, going by the general trend, NTA tends to release the JEE Main Admit Cards for the candidates around 2 to 3 weeks prior to the examination; this puts the JEE Main 2022 Admit Card release date in the 2nd Week of April 2022. The final or confirmed date for JEE Main 2022 Admit Card will be notified soon by the agency on jeemain.nta.nic.in.
