UP Scholarship 2026 is now open for students who need help with their education costs. The official portal is accepting forms for the Post-Matric other than Intermediate group. This group is also known as Dashmottar. It covers students who are studying graduation postgraduation diploma ITI and other eligible courses. The application window opened on September 15, 2026. Eligibility Criteria for UP Scholarship 2026-27
The scheme supports students at different levels of study. Pre-Matric is for students in Classes 9 and 10. Post-Matric Intermediate is for students in Classes 11 and 12. Post-Matric other than Intermediate is for students in graduation postgraduation diploma ITI and other eligible courses. The scheme is open to General Other Backward Class Scheduled Caste Scheduled Tribe and minority students. Each student must meet the eligibility conditions that apply to their group.

Eligible students can follow the simple steps given below to apply for UP Scholarship. They are also advised to check all the details before submitting the application form.
- Visit the official portal at scholarship.up.gov.in.
- Complete the One Time Registration process where it applies.
- Select the correct scholarship category.
- Choose the fresh option or the renewal option.
- Enter all the required details with care.
- Upload or provide the required documents.
- Submit the application form.
- Take a printout of the submitted form.
- Submit the hard copy to the concerned institution wherever it is needed.

UP Scholarship Amount for UG Students
The amount for UG students is not the same for everyone. It depends on the course, the category and the fee structure. Eligible students receive the money through Direct Benefit Transfer. The amount goes straight into their bank accounts. Students should check the official portal for the exact benefit that applies to their course. What After Applying?
After submission the forms move through institutional checks and other prescribed verification and scrutiny stages. Students who are eligible and approved receive the scholarship through Direct Benefit Transfer. Dashmottar applicants should keep the deadlines in mind. Renewal forms must reach the portal by October 15, 2026. Fresh forms must reach the portal by October 31, 2026.
