10,000 Teachers & 700 Doctors to be appointed by Assam Government

Assam Government is all set to appoint 10,000 TET qualified school teachers in various schools across the State. It has also confirmed the news of appointing 700 new doctors in the government run hospitals as well. This will be surely a great move and will be a boost in the employability of the State.  

The first cabinet meeting of the state government in Assam has come up with these two big announcements in addition to many other decisions. Silpi and Kalakaushali Kalyan Nidhi will be constituted, in which Rs 1 will be collected from cine goers. The fund will be used for creating welfare fund for cinema artistes and technicians. It will also enhance the share of the film producers.

The meeting has also decided on forming District Mineral Foundation for rehabilitation of those affected in mining activities. It will be funded from the fees to be paid by the mining lease holders.

Apart from this, Majuli Sub-Division will be upgraded to a district by the cabinet and will be inaugurated before 31 August 2016.
