Allahabad University Admission Notification for M.Ed. Course 2012-13

Allahabad University was established on 23 September 1887 and is the fourth oldest university of India. This premier Central University is located in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh and invites application from eligible candidates for selecting students for admission to its Med Course through MEd Admission Test 2012-2013.

• Opening date for online submission of application: 1 April 2012
• Opening date for physical submission of application: 10 April 2012
• Closing date for online/ offline submission of application: 10 May 2012 till 4 pm
• Date of Enabling Online Admit Cards: 20 May 2012
• Date for MEd Admission Test 2012-2013: 5 June 2012 (9 am to 12 am)

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to MEd Programme in Allahabad University

Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed BA/ BCom/ BSc and B.Ed. of equivalent examination from a recognized University provided he has obtained at least 45% in the aggregate in the Bachelor's degree (TDC). The candidate must have obtained at least 55% marks in the B.Ed. degree or equivalent examination after pursuing B.Ed. Course as a Regular Student.

Selection Procedure for Admission to MEd Programme in Allahabad University: Admission to M.Ed. Programme will be through Entrance Test which will consist of one theory Paper of 3 hours duration. It shall have 20 short answer questions wherein the maximum limit of words for each answer shall be 100 words. The maximum marks for the paper shall be 100.

How to Apply for Admission to MEd Programme in Allahabad University: Candidates can either apply online on the site http://www.auadmission.co.in or obtain OMR Forms along with information brochure will also be available for purchase from Pravesh Bhawan, Chaitham Lines, University of Allahabad, Allahabad-21102 UP on all days including holidays between 10 am to 4 pm.

Application Fee: Application fee for General/ OBC category candidates is Rs 800 and fee for SC/ ST/ PH candidates is Rs 400. Candidates can deposit fee through DRAFT from any national bank made in favour of ‘Finance Officer, University of Allahabad', payable at Allahabad or download the CHALLAN of State Bank of India from the website and fill it up correctly by mentioning all the details required.

The students are required to send the original university copy of CHALLAN/DRAFT to Director Admissions, Pravesh Bhawan, Chaitham Lines, University of Allahabad, Allahabad and bring the photocopy along with its Admit Card to the Test Centre and submit it at the time of Test.
