Andaman & Nicobar Union Territory Health Mission & Office of the State Health Society (A &  N Islands) issued notification inviting applications for recruitment to 4 posts of Epidemiologist and Microbiologist (2 vacancies per post). 1. Name of the Post: Epidemiologist
No. of Posts: 2 posts
Salary: Rs. 36667 per month
Age Limit: below 45 years (up to 60 years in exceptional cases)
Educational Qualification: Medical Graduate with Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in Preventive and Social Medicine / Public Health OR Epidemiology (like MD, MPH, DPH, MAE etc.) OR any Medical Graduate with 3 years experience in Epidemiology / Public health.  
Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in issue related to Public Health programs or Epidemiology

2. Name of the Post: Microbiologist
No. of Posts: 2 posts
Remuneration: Rs. 36667 per month (for medical graduates);
                      Rs. 25000 per month (for Non-medical graduates)
Age limit: below 45 years (up to 60 years in exceptional cases)
Educational Qualification: Medical Graduate with Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in Microbiology / Virology / Pathology / other Lab Sciences OR Medical graduate with 2 years experience in laboratory sciences OR M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology
Experience: Minimum 2 years relevant experience in Medical Microbiology + Experience of working in public health systems, implementation of laboratory quality assurance systems, assessing and organizing training programs and proven ability for planning and undertaking operational research would be desirable.
Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the Interview.
Shortlisted candidates will be intimated about the date of Interview later.

Selected candidates will have to travel and work in remote / hard areas, if required.

The engagement will be as per the guidelines of under State Health Society (A&N Islands) on Contract basis for period of 11 months. Candidates will be liable to serve anywhere in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
