Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) issued recruitment notification for 48 posts of Medical Officer (Unani) in A.P. Unani Medical Services under Ayush Department. The recruitment process is a Limited Recruitment process to fill SC / ST Backlog Vacancies (29-SC and 19-ST vacancies). Interested eligible candidates can apply online till 24 July 2013.

SC/ST Candidates belonging to other states are not entitled to apply as it is a backlog Recruitment.
Selection Procedure: Final selection will be based on candidates’ performance in written Examination.
The 300 mark exam will have two questions papers of 150 marks each. Candidates will be given 150 minutes for each paper.
Examination Scheme
For Post Code 01: Paper I will have 150 questions on General Studies. Paper II will have 300 questions on Unani Science & Unani General Medicine.

Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their being found medically fit.
Selected candidates will be allotted Service/ Department as per their rank in the merit list, zonal preference made by them and vacancies available.
All essential certificates shall be produced by the candidates on verification day or as and when called for.
Examination Centers: The Written Examination will be held at Hyderabad.
Candidates should carefully decide about the choice for CENTRE for the examination. If any candidate appears at a centre / Examination venue other than the one allotted by the Commission, the answer sheets of such candidates shall not be valued
How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates can apply online by logging on to the website www.apspsc.gov.in till 24 July 2013.
The online application mode has three stages.
i. Registration
ii. Payment of fees
iii. Submission of form.
Candidates are required to first register by logging on to www.apspsc.gov.in and entering basic personal details.
For depositing fees, if required, candidates are required to print the downloadable fee payment Challan and deposit the fee as prescribed. After payment of fees, candidates should revisit the website, on the next working day, completely fill the application form and submit it.
Applicants willing to serve anywhere in the Andhra Pradesh should only apply.
