Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) has invited applications from various candidates to apply for its Under Graduate & Post Graduate Programmes for the academic session 2016 – 17. All the interested and eligible candidates can apply through proper channel latest by 29 June, 2016.

FDDI - established under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, is rated amongst the premier leather products, footwear, fashion, design and retail institution in the world & has established its footprints worldwide by playing a pioneering role in enhancing the skill, competency and performance of the industries globally.

Eligibility Criteria for FDDI

For Admission in PG Programmes

Graduation in any discipline {candidates appearing in final year may also apply}.

For Admission in UG Programmes

10+2 / Intermediate {candidates appearing in 10+2 may also apply}.

Selection procedure for Admission in Under Graduate & Post Graduate Programmes

Successfully registered candidate is required to undertake an All India Selection Test (AIST) comprising of Computer based Multiple Choice Examination. AIST will be conducted on 10, 11 & 12 June, 2015 at various centers. Candidate has an option to choose the date according to his convenience.

Exemption:

Candidates who have attempted in any of the below mentioned entrance test are eligible for exemption from appearing in the written test of FDDI (AIST).

Master Degree Programmes: CAT / XAT / MAT / AIMA / JMET / NMAT / AMCAT / SNAP / GMAT / AIM – CAT / or any other equivalent entrance test

Bachelor Degree Programmes: AI EEE / BITSAT / IITJEE / GGSIPU / VIT / SRM / BCECE / UPSEE / MPCET / GUJCET / EAMCET / COMEDK / MH CET / ODISHA JEE or any other equivalent entrance test

How to apply in Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) Post Graduate Programmes

Online Mode:

Eligible candidate can registered themselves on the official website of the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) within specified time and need to pay Rs.500/ through proper channel as a fee of registration.

Offline Mode:

Candidate is required to purchase Prospectus along with Admission Form by sending a Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) in favour of "FDDI" payable at New Delhi to FDDI, NOIDA and fill the Application Form attached with the prospectus as per the instruction mentioned and send the duly filled in form along with the requisite documents to FDDI, Noida. Duly Filled application form along with requisite documents should be sent to Admisison Cell, FDDI.

Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) has announced the important dates for admission in their Under Graduate & Post Graduate Programmes. Some important dates are as follow;

Seats Allocation in Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) Under Graduate & Post Graduate Programmes

Institute reserves 15% seats for Scheduled Caste (SC) and 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribe (ST) and 27% seats for OBC (Non Creamy) candidates respectively in each programme in both sponsored as well as non-sponsored category.

3% seats are reserved for physically handicapped students in each programme as per the persons with Disability Act 1995. Such candidates should submit the disability certificate issued by medical board notified by State/Central authority certifying their disability as 40% or more.

Out of the total capacity of any batch, 15% seats are reserved in each programme for Industry-sponsored / NRI / Foreign candidates if they meet the required eligibility criteria.

Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) AIST Examination Pattern

FDDI entrance test will be of 2.5 hrs. duration and would be conducted in English & Hindi languages. There would be a total of 150 objective type questions. Multiple choices for these questions will be available and candidates are required to choose the right answer. Each question would carry 1 mark. There is no negative marking.
