    Assam Public Service Commission issued notification for filling up of 43 posts in 5 departments. Interested candidates can send their applications in the prescribed format till 17 January 2013.

    Rs.8000 to Rs.35000 (PB-3) with GP Rs.4700 pm + other allowances.

    Degree in Textiles / Handloom Technology or Diploma in Textiles / Handloom Technology with minimum 3 years work experience in allied services.

    Minimum: 21 years

    Maximum: 38 years

    [Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC / ST candidates.]

    Selection Process

    Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in Personal Interview / written test.

    If the number of applications received is large, the commission may short-list the number of candidates either

    (a) on the basis of their marks obtained in the qualifying academic examination required for the post in terms of advertisement

    OR

    (b) by holding written examination which will be notified in due course.

    Application Details

    Application forms can be downloaded from the APSC website obtained from the Issue & Receipt Section of the Assam Public Service Commission, Jawahar Nagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-22 on written requisition addressed to the Deputy Secretary, Assam Public Service Commission clearly stating the name of the post and Department by paying application fee of Rs.5 (Rs.2.50 for SC and ST) through original Treasury Challan.

    The last date of issue of application form by the undersigned and submission of duly filled application form to the Commission’s office is 17 January 2013 (1600 hours). Candidates can submit their application direct to the Commission.

    The Treasury Challan should be issued in the name of the Head of Account ‘Non Tax Revenue-Other Non Tax Revenue-0051-PSC, 102-State Public Service Commission Application/Examination Fee Receipt of A.P.S.C’.

    How to Apply

    Completely filled in application forms, along with copies of all relevant certificates, should be submitted to the “Deputy Secretary, Assam Public Service Commission, Jawahar Nagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-22” on or before 17 January 2013.

    “Name of the post applied for” should be superscribed on the envelope containing the application.

    Note

    • Candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate set of testimonials and Treasury Challans for each post.

    • The Fee is non-refundable and non-inter-transferable from one post to another.

    • Candidates who are not employed need not furnish the above Treasury Challan for any post.

    • In case of single post like director, principal of an institution, head of deptt. etc., no shortlisting / weeding out shall be necessary.

    • The list of candidates whose applications are found invalid or rejected after scrutiny will be made available in the Assam Public Service Commission website showing grounds of rejections in due course.

    • There shall be 30% reservation for women candidates as admissible as per Rules irrespective of all categories.
