Bank of Baroda invites application for admissions to 1 year full-time PG Diploma course in Banking and Finance from Manipal University to be conducted at the Baroda Manipal school of Banking. The Bank assures a full-fledged Banking career -- induction as Probationary Officers in Junior Management Grade / Scale-I  with any branch of Bank of Baroda  -- to the candidates on successful completion of the course. Interested candidates should apply online till 18 May 2013.

Total no of seats (for Selection Exercise of 2013-14): 300 seats per batch.

4 batches, one batch every 3 months, of 300 students will be inducted in Baroda Manipal School of Banking through the current selection exercise for 2013-14.

 

Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline.

 

Students in final year of their graduation are eligible to apply.

 

Age Limit (as on 1 September 2013): 

Minimum: 21 years

Maximum:  26 years

 

 Selection Procedure: Selection to BOB would be based on candidates’ performance in an (open) online exam and offline descriptive test of English Language followed by Group Discussion and Interview.

 

The two- hour objective test paper will be divided into 4 sections of 50 marks each. Candidates will be required to qualify in the Objective Tests by securing passing marks, in each of the tests having 50 objective type questions of one mark each. There will be negative marking in objective type test.

 

The one - hour Descriptive will be of English Language and have five questions on comprehension, short précis, letter writing & essay. Candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive Test to be eligible for Group Discussion and Personal Interview 

 

Objective type test will be conducted online and descriptive paper will be conducted offline in venues across centers in India. The exact address of the venue will be advised in the call letters.

 

The merit list of candidates will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the Objective Tests and Descriptive Test (in descending order) and candidates, 4 times the number of intake, will be called for Group Discussion and Interview.

 

The final merit list for selection will be on the basis of performance in Online Test, Descriptive Test, Group discussion (GD) and Interview.

 

Candidates will have to produce original as well as self attested photocopies of certificates / testimonials at the time of GD/Interview, failing which their candidature will be cancelled. 

 

Admission of any candidate to the Baroda Manipal school of Banking, if declared successful in the selection process is subject to his/ her being declared medically fit by the Medical Officer approved by the Bank.

 

Travel Allowance: Eligible SC / ST / PWD outstation candidates attending the Interview will be reimbursed to and fro second-class ordinary train/ bus fare by the shortest route on production of evidence of travel. 

 

Call letters for online examination having exact date and time of examination along with the Centre / Venue for the Examination, will be available to the candidates well in advance. All the instructions/ intimations will also be available on the Bank’s website, so candidates are requested to check the website regularly for important notifications.

 

Application Fees/ Intimation Charges: Non-refundable fees of Rs. 50 (for SC / ST / PWD candidates) / Rs. 550 (for all others) has to be paid either through online mode (till 18 May 2013) or through offline mode (22 May 2013).

 

Bank Transaction charges will have to be borne by the candidate

 

Online Payment of fees: After filling the online application form through bank’s website www.bankofbaroda.com, candidates can pay fees through the payment gateway integrated with the application using MASTER / VISA debit / credit cards or Internet Banking by providing information asked. Transaction charges for on-line payment will be borne by the candidates. On successful payment of the fees, a e-receipt and application form will be generated. Candidates should take the printout for record.

 

Offline Payment of Fees: While filling the online application form through bank’s website www.bankofbaroda.com, candidates should opt for offline mode for payment of fees. On submitting the application form, a Provisional Registration number with Password and a fee payment challan will be generated by the system. Candidates should note down the Registration number with Password and take a printout of the fee payment challan. 

 

On the 2nd working day after registration candidates can pay the fees within three working days through CBS branches of any one of the Bank of Baroda branches. Once the fee is paid, the registration process is complete.

 

Candidates will receive a registration confirmation by SMS / e-Mail after two working days from the date of payment of fees. Candidates can reprint the submitted application containing fee details, after three days from the date of fee payment.

 

How to Apply: Interested candidates can apply online through the Bank’s website www.bankofbaroda.com till 18 May 2013.

 

After filling all the details in the online application form, candidates will have to upload their photograph and signature , deposit fees through any one of the two methods, discussed above, and ‘SUBMIT’ the form. On successful submission of the application form, a Registration / Receipt Number and Password will be generated by the system. Candidates are advised to take a printout of the system generated online application form for future reference.

 

Candidates should have a valid E-mail ID which should be kept active till the declaration of final result, for receiving important notifications / updates / alerts by e-mail.

 

A candidate should apply only once.
