Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) is a state-owned electronics company with about nine factories, and few regional offices in India. It primarily manufactures advanced electronic products for the Indian Armed Forces. It invites application from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post of Probationary Engineers and Probationary Officers across various domains.

Eligibility Criteria for recruitment in BEL

Educational Qualification

  • Probationary Engineers: First class in BE/ BTech/ BSc Engineering Graduate (pass for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates) from AICTE approved Colleges in Electronics/ Electronics and Communication/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Communication/ Telecommunication/ Mechanical/ Computer Science/ Computer Science and Engineering. Candidates with first class in AMIE / GIETE, in the above disciplines are also eligible to apply.
  • Probationary Officers: Graduation with First class in MSW/ MBA (2 years fulltime with specialization in HRM/ Personnel Management and Industrial Relations)/ First class in Postgraduate Degree/ Postgraduate Diploma (2 years fulltime) in HRM/ Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from a recognised University/ Institute. Graduation and pass for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates.

Age Limit (as on 1 May 2012): Maximum 25 years

Pay Scale: Candidates selected against the above position, will be placed in E-II grade, at the minimum of the pay scale of Rs 16400-3%-40500. In addition, they will be entitled to DA, HRA, Conveyance Allowance, Performance Related Pay, Medical Reimbursement and other perquisites as admissible.

Selection Procedure for recruitment in BEL: The candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria will have to go through written test and interview. The written test will be held at Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Guwahati centres.

The written test will consist of Objective type questions from basic Engineering subjects/HR subjects, in the respective disciplines/ specialisations and General Aptitude. Candidates selected in the written test will be required to appear for an interview for final selection. The results of selection will be available on the BEL website through query mode.

Application Fee: Application fee for General and OBC category candidates is Rs 500 and no fee will be charged from SC/ ST/ PWD candidates. The fee can be paid in the form of challan (in triplicate) and submitted to the nearest SBI Branch, along with an application fee plus bank charges.

Fee Payment Challan

On submission of the challan unique transaction number (Journal Number) will be generated and the same would be written by the staff at the Bank. The bank portion of the challan will be retained by the staff and the remaining 2 portions will be given to the candidate. The candidate is to ensure that the ‘Journal Number' is entered on the challan before leaving the bank.

Apply Online

On completion of the on-line application format the same is to be submitted. After submission the candidate is required to take a print out of the application format, attach the Company's copy of the challan (wherever required) and send it by ordinary post, to Post Box No.3076, Lodi Road, New Delhi-110003. The candidate can retain his/her copy of the challan for further reference.
