For all the CAT Aspirants it is very important to know the pattern and length of CAT Entrance Exam 2012. This will give right direction to their preparation.
CAT Pattern was changed in the year 2011 with no. of sections being kept as 2 rather than 3. The pattern has been kept same in terms of number and name of the sections this year.CAT entrance will have 2 sections:
- Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation
- Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning
Aspirants will get 70 minutes for each section. Once the first section is completed and candidates move on to the next section, they will not be allowed to go back to the previous section.
In addition to the question solving time of 140 minutes for the sections, candidates will get a 15 minute tutorial on how to mark, review and finish the test.
Therefore, total time for which aspirants need to sit and give the test for is 2 hours 35 minutes.
At Test Venue:
Every candidate will get a scratch paper at the examination center for rough work. Scratch paper needs to be left at the examination center.
Candidates will not be allowed to take any other paper inside the examination hall. Also, no breaks are allowed during the exam.
