CAT 2018 Result Analysis

CAT 2018 Result Analysis- CAT 2018 results are finally out today. The result came out earlier than the official time given my IIMCAT. The result is available on the official website of IIMCAT- iimcat.ac.in. Students who appeared for the CAT 2018 exam on November 25, 2018 will be able to check their CAT 2018 result online. Earlier on January 1, owing to technical glitch, students could access their CAT 2018 score on the official website of IIMCAT. Soon after the technical glitch students started sharing their sectional and overall scores on social media handles and several student groups. When IIM Calcutta was contacted regarding the same, they declined any such information. On January 3, 2019, IIMCAT officially announced the CAT 2018 will be available on January 5, 1 pm onwards. CAT 2018 was conducted in two slots at 374 test centres across 147 cities in the country.

According to the experts and students, the overall difficulty level of CAT 2018 was moderate to difficult. Some were of the opinion that some of the questions in Verbal section were difficult while some claimed Quant was the easiest. The CAT 2018 result came much earlier than expected. As of now, very few people have joined at the elite list of CAT 2018 toppers, one of them being Rounak Majumdar with 100 percentile .As per IIM Calcuatte, as many as 2.41 lakh candidates registered for the CAT 2018 exam, of which 2.09 lakh test takers appeared for the exam.

How to Check CAT 2018 Result

Follow the steps given below to download your CAT 2018 result;

• As soon as the CAT Result is declared, you will get a message from HP IIMCAT about your percentile in CAT based on your application number. This will automatically let you log in to the official CAT website and begin the CAT score card download process. 
• After you have made it to the official CAT website, make sure to login with your registered CAT id and password as an existing user on the button “Download Score Card”
• Subsequently, you will be able to view and download your CAT score card. You must take a print out of the downloaded score card for future communication.  

CAT 2018 Result on SMS

Students can either check their CAT 2018 result here or from official website of IIMCAT. Apart from this, IIM Calcutta will also send overall CAT 2018 scores via SMS to each student on their registered mobile number.
