CBSE Class 10th Linear Equations in Two Variables – An Introduction

In this video we will learn about the basics of Linear Equations in two variables.

Equations of the form a₁x + b₁y + c₁ = 0 where a₁, b₁ and c₁ are real numbers and a₁ and b₁ are both not zero are Linear Equations in two Variables.

• The condition of a₁ and b₁ are both not real zero could denoted mathematically as a² + b² ≠ 0.
• Solutions of the linear equations in two variables are those values of x and y for which Left-Hand Side becomes equal to Right –Hand Side.
• For every Linear equation in two variable we obtain a straight line on the graph and for every solution of the Linear Equation, we get a point on a straight line.
