In this video we will learn about the basics of Linear Equations in two variables.

Equations of the form a1x + b1y + c1 = 0 where a1, b1 and c1 are real numbers and a1 and b1 are both not zero are Linear Equations in two Variables.

  • The condition of a1 and b1 are both not real zero could denoted mathematically as a2 + b2 ≠ 0.
  • Solutions of the linear equations in two variables are those values of x and y for which Left-Hand Side becomes equal to Right –Hand Side.
  • For every Linear equation in two variable we obtain a straight line on the graph and for every solution of the Linear Equation, we get a point on a straight line.
