CBSE Extends Free Helpline Open at All 7 days for JEE Main and CET aspirants

Jan 14, 2014 11:41 IST

With an attempt to help students with their queries or confusion, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended its free helpline service, which now will serve at all 7 days in a week, from 9 a.m. till 5p.m. This service is available for all Class X and XII students as well as for the aspirants appearing in the JEE Main Exam and CET Exam, which are conducted by the CBSE.

The toll free helpline number 1800-11-8002 will make the exam less nerve-racking for students by clarifying any doubts asked.

The CBSE has also revamped itself in past few years to make students at ease with the examination system and also to make the education system more fruitful and enhanced.
One such big move to notice is that CBSE will now mention formulae in the question papers from which the student will have to choose the correct one to solve the numeric problem accordingly by class XI students from March 2014 examinations. The aim of this new pattern is to discourage the rote system of learning various subjects, which is observed in many students. The change will also encourage the students to solve questions using their analytical skills and through application based approach.

The new question papers with having important formulae mentioned will be framed by the CBSE subject committees. The New question paper pattern will be introduced in 2014-2015 academic session for class 11th, whereas the class 12th will see it from session 2015-2016 onwards.
