In an important move, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to grade all the schools affiliated to it. If grading of affiliated schools is a reason to cheer for parents, it disturbs the nerves of school managements.
Schools will be graded on the ground of schools’ status in various aspects like academics, infrastructure, sports, teachers’ qualification, overall performance in results and many more.
Parents consider the grading of schools will make it easy for them to select a right school for their children. On other hand, school managements state that the move might spark off a competition between all schools to get into the list of A-grade schools that would not be good for our school education system.
