CBSE Stretches Last Date for UGC NET Exam Online Application till 23 November

CBSE has extended the last date for submission of application for UGC NET exam 2017. Candidates can now submit their application till 23 November at cbsenet.nic.in.

CBSE has extended the last date for submission of application for UGC NET exam 2017. Candidates can now submit their application till 23 November at cbsenet.nic.in.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced an extension in the online application submission for UGC NET (January) Exam 2017. The online portal of the Board will be open till 23 November. 

Candidates can now deposit the application fee till 24 November. Fees can be deposited through E-Challan/ Debit/ Credit Card at designated Branches of Syndicate/ Canara/ ICICI/ HDFC Bank.

Only those candidates who have secured minimum 55% marks in Master’s can apply for CBSE UGC NET exam 2017. In addition to this, candidates who have appeared or will be appearing for Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this.

It is for the information of candidates that in case your post graduation subject is not mentioned in the subject list, you can appear for a related subject.

The Board has also set age limit criteria for the exam. Candidates who come in the age bracket of below 28 years can apply for JRF post. However there’s no age limit for Lectureship.

Candidates can also correct their data (particulars) on the website from 28 November till 03 December. 

Briefing about the application submission procedure, candidates must apply online. Before applying Online, the candidates must possess the scanned images as below, Passport size photograph in JPG format of minimum 4kb to 40 kb. The dimension of the photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height), Signature in JPG format of minimum 4kb to 30 kb. The dimension of the signature should be 3.5 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (height).

After filling all the details for applying online for NET the candidates have to select the option of payment of examination fee either by credit/debit card or through e-challan generated during the online filling of the application form indicating the details therein.

Candidates have to submit application fee of Rs 600 (Rs 300 for Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer); Rs 150 for SC/ST/PwD)
