Centre for Neuroscience, Indian Institute of Science, Banglore invited applications from eligible candidates who fulfilling the requisite criteria for filling up the following below mentioned posts, under a program grant entitled “Alzheimer’sDisease: Understanding mechanisms for early diagnosis and treatment” funded by theTata Trusts for a period of 5 years. Educational Qualification/ Experience

(i) Ph.D in relevant area with an excellent academicrecord and minimum 3 years of post- doctoral research experience with high qualitypublications. Candidate is expected to be actively engaged in experimental work.

(ii) Masters’ degree in a relevant area with minimum 2 years research experience.

(iii) Bachelors’ degree in relevant area with minimum 5 yearsof experience working in a research laboratory.

(iv) Master’s in Veterinary Science (MVSc) with minimum 2 yearsof experience or Bachelor in Veterinary Science (BVSc) with minimum 5 years ofexperience working in a small animal research facility.

(v) Matriculation with working knowledge of reading and writing English.

(vi) Graduate with proficiency in computers and minimum 8/ 4 yearsof experience in administration in R & D organizations.

Pay Scale/ Salary

Consolidated Remuneration of Rs. 100,000/- Per Month (for post 1), Rs. 70,000/- (for post 2), Rs. 50,000/- (for post 3), Rs. 35,000/- (for post 4),  Rs. 20,000/- Per Month (for post 5), Rs. 40,000/- (for post 6),  Rs. 25,000/- (for post 7),  Rs. 50,000/- (for post 8, 9 & 11), Rs. 15,000/- (for post 10) and Rs. 30,000/- (for post 12) Per Month.

Selection Procedure

The short listed candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Written Test/ Trade Test/ Practical Test/ Skill Test/ Interview, which might be conducted by the administration.
