Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education which came into existence in the year 1969 conducts examination for both Class 10 and 12 every year. Around 8000 schools are associated with the HP Board which sets up 1650 examination centers across the state in which more than five lakh students appear every year. Last year total pass percentage was 65.01% out of which girls performed much better than boys in Science, Commerce and Arts Steam.
