Civil Services Exam in Haryana to Have UPSC like Prelims Examination

    Similar to the UPSC pattern, the Haryana Civil Services Examination will now have prelims examination as the cabinet has approved the proposal to adopt prelims pattern in the civil services examination of the state. Under the Chairmanship of the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, the cabinet approved the enterprise promotion rules under which there would be a construction of a board which will oversee the time bound clearance of the projects in the state.

    After the decision of the cabinet, the Civil Services Aptitude Test will now have 100 marks in form of Paper II. There will be objective questions asked in both English and Hindi in both the question papers. Each paper will give two hours to the candidates to solve the question. There will be negative marking of .25 marks on each wrong evaluation of the candidates. The cabinet has decided to do away with the special recruitment to the HCS (Executive Branch) because of its matters with litigation.

    The cabinet also approved to change the name of Agriculture Department to that of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department. It approved the draft for Haryana Enterprise Promotion Rules, 2016 which would constitute the Haryana Enterprise Promotion Board under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister Khattar. It will look after the time bound clearances of policies, sanctioning of special packages for mega projects and approve the policy initiatives. It would be a single window service to provide information regarding sanctions and implementations of projects, availability of land and infrastructure in the state to prospective clients and entrepreneurs.
