    Delhi University Admissions 2017: List Of Entrance-Based Undergraduate Courses Released

    Delhi University recently announced that it will commence the online registration process for admission to undergraduate courses on May 22 but excluded from the list are courses which require an entrance test for admission. The varsity released the list of such courses today.

    The hustle to get admission in Delhi University has begun with the announcement of admission dates and the coming months are exceptionally crucial for students aspiring to get through the most esteemed institution in the country. While DU is famous for its sky-high cut-offs, there are courses which take students based on the result of entrance an test.

    Unlike the general online registration date of May 22, the courses which require an entrance test for admission will be open for applications on May 31.
    There are nine such courses which require the students to sit for an entrance test to get admission.

    Here is the list:

    Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)

    Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis)

    BA (Hons.) Business Economics

    BA (Hons.) Humanities and Social Sciences

    Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

    Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Health Education & Sports: B.Sc. (P.E., H.E. & S.)

    BA (Hons.) Multimedia and Mass Communication

    B.Tech. (Information Technology and Mathematical Innovations)

    BA (Hons.) Music

    BA (Hons.) Music, is a new addition to the list which only had 8 courses previously.

    The open session:

    The university will also conduct a counselling session (also known as Open Session) to answer all the admission and course related queries of students.

    Time and days:

    The counselling session is held in North and South campus and helps students pick and shortlist colleges and courses according to their inclination and merit. The session is likely to start before the announcement of board results and continue till after it to make the process easy for students. The counselling session will take place throughout the week from 10am to 1pm, except for Sundays.


    The session will take place in University's Conference Centre in Chhatra Marg but various colleges are also expected to organize individual counselling sessions to remove confusions of students and parents. In the past, colleges like Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Miranda House, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College and Sri Venkateswara College had done the same.

    Usually there is a presentation by university authorities which is followed by a question-answer round where aspiring candidates and their parents whatever doubt they have.

    The entrance tests will be held across 18 centres throughout the country, which is more than last year.
