In order to improve learning capacities among students, another five corporation schools in Coimbatore has been brought under the Dell Connected Class Room Scheme. For implementation of this scheme, 20 lakh rupees for each school have been allotted. The five schools incorporated under the scheme come under the five corporation zones in the city.
The classrooms in these schools are being operated with the help of American Foundation and Dell, which is responsible for the improvement of the learning capacity of the students, teaching capacity of the teachers and also to improve education through novel techniques in these schools. After the schools get there computers which are already allotted for them, these schools would further get connected with the internet facility and classrooms would be conducted through digital boards (Interactive White Boards).
The scheme is already running in the corporation school in Maniakarampalayam. The five corporation schools that are identified for the scheme are: Corporation Girls Higher Secondary School in Oppanakkara Street, Corporation School in Peelamedu and Udayampalayam, Corporation School in Papanaickenpudur and Girls High School in Selvapuram. These schools would get the benefit of being under the scheme and would help students get the best in class education through digital interactive methods and internet facilities.
