Department of Posts, Assam Circle invited applications for recruitment to the post of Multi- Tasking Staff (MTS) for the year 2009-2012 and Postman/Mail Guard for the year 2010-2012 in 11 postal units of Assam Postal Circle. The candidates eligible for the post can apply online on or before 2 July 2014.

Pay scale

• Multi- Tasking Staff (MTS): Rs.5200-20200/- with Grade Pay Rs.1800/- per month
• Postman/Mail Guard: Rs.5200-20200/- with Grade Pay Rs.2000/- per month

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Multi- Tasking Staff (MTS): Candidate should be Matriculation examination passed or ITI from a recognized Board.
• Postman/Mail Guard: Candidate should be Matriculation examination passed or equivalent from a recognized Board.

Age Limit

• Candidate age should be between 18-27 years as on 2 July 2014 for both posts.
• Age relaxation will be applicable as per the rules.

Application Fees

• General/OBC Categories Male candidates have to pay Rs.400/- as Examination fee.
• All Categories candidates have to pay Rs.100/- as application fees.
• Scheduled castes/Scheduled Tribes/Physically Impaired/Women are exempted from payment Examination Fee.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Aptitude Test.
