The meeting was entirely called in to discuss all the potential ideas on them. The content in the foundation courses, will be studied in the first and second years of the new undergraduate programme, and the committee discussed that it should not be a lengthy syllabus and must, in no form compromise on the quality part.
The courses will be like general papers on subjects such as communication and life-skills, psychology and information technology, etc.
The content is supposed to be subject specific and quality and quantity will be given equal preference. Also, the taskforce has suggested dividing the chapters in the syllabi as essential readings (ER) and desirable readings. The new curriculum is scheduled to be up and running by April 2013.
