GATE 2017: Latest Notification, Important dates

    GATE 2017 Notification is released by The Organizing Institute for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2017 (GATE 2017) Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.

    Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an All India national level examination for Engineering graduate students which is conducted every year by designated organizing institute. The seven IITs (Delhi, Bombay, Guwahati, Kharagpur, Kanpur, Roorkee and Madras) and IISC on organize this exam on rotation basis. On the basis of performance in GATE, students are provided admission into the IITs for post graduate courses like M.Tech/M.E. Through this exam they also provide the direct admission into the PH.D. courses.

    Many of the public and private companies also consider the GATE score card while recruiting. Some of them are these organizations are: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) , Power Grid India, etc.

    GATE 2017 Online Examination Dates: 4th ,5th , 11th ,12th February 2017
    Application Process starts from: 1st September 2016
    Last Date for Submission of Online Application: 4th October 2016
    Last Date for Request for Change in the Choice of Examination City: 16th November 2016
    Issuing of Admit Card: 5th January 2017
    Announcement of Result: 27th March 2017

    General/OBC Male Candidates: Rs.1500
    Women Candidate: Rs. 750
    SC/ST/PD Candidates: Rs. 750
