Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority (GSDMA) Jobs Notification 2017: GSDMA invited applications for 08 posts of Consultants for District Project Officer and Project officer posts. The eligible candidates can apply to the post through the prescribed format on or before 31 March 2017.

For the posts of Consultants for District Project Officers an applicant must possess Post Graduation in Disaster Management OR Master in Social Work with 1st Division. An applicant should holding Diploma or certificate course in disaster management will be preferred.

Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority (GSDMA) was established and registered as a Society under the provisions of the Societies Registration Act and the Bombay Public Trust Act on 8 February 2001. GSDMA was initially mandated to implement the gigantic task of rehabilitation and reconstruction program in the earthquake affected areas of the State and simultaneously act as a nodal agency to plan and implement pre-disaster preparedness and mitigation activities including training and capacity building of all the stakeholders involved in disaster management. After the passage of Gujarat State Disaster Management Act – 2003, the Society constituted earlier as GSDMA was dissolved under Section 49 of the Act, and the Statutory Authority under Sub-Section 1 of the Section (6) came to an existence with effect from 1st September, 2003.

Eligible candidates can apply to the post through the prescribed format and submit their applications online through GSDMA website jobs.gsdma.org the eligible applicant will be informed about the date and time of interview via email. The last date of submission of applications is 31 March 2017.
