Online registration has begun for Himachal Pradesh TET 2016. Online application can be submitted till 20 August. However application fee can be deposited till 21 August. The examination is scheduled to be held on 04-11 September 2016.
Himachal Pradesh TET Examination Pattern
There shall be one question paper in four different series MCQs, carrying 150 questions of one mark each. The time duration is 150 minutes. Minimum qualifying marks is 60%. There shall be no negative marking.
The question booklet will be set and supplied in bilingual i.e. both in English and Hindi. The question papers for Shastri will be partly in Sanskrit and partly in Hindi. The question papers preferably be bilingual (English & Punjabi). The question paper for Punjabi/Urdu language teacher will be in Punjabi/Urdu/English only.
Eligibility Criteria for Himachal Pradesh TET Exam
Himachal Pradesh TET online registration is open for candidates with requisite educational qualification. For TGT (Arts) applications are invited from B.A./B.Com. with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) OR B.A./B.Com. with at least 45% marks(only for those who have passed B.Ed. upto 30.08.2009) and 50% marks (for those who have passed B.Ed. after 30.08.2009) 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with NCTE regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.A.Ed OR B.A./B.Com with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) (Special Education).
For TGT (Non-Medical) candidates with minimum educational qualification of B.Sc.(NM) with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) OR B.Sc.(NM) with at least 45% marks(only for those who have passed B.Ed. upto 30.08.2009) and 50% marks (for those who have passed B.Ed. after 30.08.2009) 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) in accordance with NCTE(Recognition norms and Procedure) regulations issued from time to time in this regard Or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.Sc.(NM)Ed. OR B.Sc (NM) with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) (Special Education).
Candidates interested for TGT (Medical) are required to have B.Sc.(Medical) with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) OR B.Sc.(Medical) with at least 45% marks(only for those who have passed B.Ed. upto 30.08.2009) and 50% marks (for those who have passed B.Ed. after 30.08.2009 ) 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) in accordance with NCTE(Recognition norms and Procedure) regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) Candidates interested for Shastri TET should have at least 50% marks from an institution/University recognized by H.P. Government.
For Language Teacher post, the minimum eligibility requirement is B.A. with Hindi as an elective subject and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whichever name known) OR BA with at least 50% marks with Hindi as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) Or BA with at least 45% marks with Hindi as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with the NCTE Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR BA with at least 50% marks with Hindi as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) Special Education OR Prabhakar (Honours in Hindi) with 50% marks followed by B.A. Examination (English and one additional subject) with 50% marks from recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) Or M.A. (Hindi) with at least 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).
Candidates who are willing to apply for Junior Basic Training (JBT) 10+2 with 50% marks from a recognized Board/University and should possess two years JBT certificate course from an institute duly recognized by the Central State Govt. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-years Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education) OR Graduation and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
There is no upper age limit to apply for the TET.
Himachal Pradesh TET Admit Card
Admit cards for the examination will be issued before 5 days before the scheduled date of the examination.
Himachal Pradesh TET Result
Though exactly not disclosed the Himachal Pradesh TET Result is likely to be declared in the month of November/ December. The TET qualifying certificate would remain valid for appointment for 7 years from the date of issuance of TET certificate. Candidates who have qualified TET may also appear again for improving the score.
