Home Police-I/Establishment Department, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, invited applications for recruitment of 20 Assistant Public Prosecutors on contractual basis for a period of six months or till the regular recruitment is made by UPSC, whichever is earlier, to function in the Directorate of Prosecution, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. Vacancy Details
Name of the Post: Assistant Public Prosecutor
Number of seats: 20 posts
Type of Recruitment: Contractual appointment
Period of Recruitment: initially for a period of 6 months or till the vacancies are filled up on regular basis by UPSC, whichever is earlier.
Remuneration:
For retired Govt. servants: last pay drawn minus basic pension drawn.
For other candidates: Minimum of the Pay Band of Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4600+DA
Age limit: not more than 63 years (as on the closing date of submission of application).
[The contract of selected Assistant Public Prosecutors will stand terminated on their acquiring the age of 65 years.]
Qualifications: A Degree in law
Candidate must be a Retired Prosecuting Officer of the Government of NCT of Delhi or of other Government agencies like CBI etc or of State Governments and Union territories of India.
NOTE: A Legal practitioners who have already worked as Assistant Public Prosecutor for two years or more on contract basis/regular basis with the Directorate of Prosecution, Govt.of NCT of Delhi can apply for the post.
Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Interview.
Candidates short-listed as per the fulfillment of the eligibility conditions, will only be called for the Interview.
Experience of candidates would be the main criteria of selection.
NOTE: Selected candidates shall have no right of private practice under anycircumstances.
