The admission process of the four-year Hotel Management and Catering Technology (HMCT) degree course for the new academic session 2014-15 has started in Maharashtra, as per the notification released by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE).
The admission process is to be centralized and those aspirants who have qualified their class 12th from the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent board by attaining a minimum of 45% marks and English as one of the subjects, and have a non-zero score in the MAH-HM-CET 2014 can participate to grab a seat.
Whereas, aspirants from the backward class or persons with disability, has 40% as minimum aggregate score to be eligible to apply.
The students who have their result out are required to update their scores and percentage on the website: www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/hmct2014 by using their registered login ID and password. The status of caste/tribe validity certificate in case of a reservation claim must also be uploaded followed by taking out a print copy of candidate’s filled application form.
The documents and their photocopies has to be submitted in person, later at the designated application receipt center (ARC) to make them verified by the institute to fulfill the formalities for the claim of admission.
To know the documents that are needed to be submitted in person at the ARC can be seen by visiting DTE’s website. Besides, photocopies of the set of attested documents, the original certificates of the same supporting documents are also to be carried along.
In the end of admission procedure, the website will make the centralized admission process (CAP) merit list public.
