Question: I am a student of BEd. I have done JBT after BSc. What should I do to become primary school teacher?
Sandeep Karhans, Panipat
Answer: Since you are already pursuing BEd course, it is advisable that you wait for some time and try to become a trained graduate teacher on the basis of your BEd degree. There is no point in becoming primary teacher through JBT. You should apply through employment newspaper and advertisements for the post of teachers of various state governments, private organisations. Usually, recruitment of teachers is based on entrance exams. In the meantime, you can definitely try for MA through correspondence. This would be beneficial not only in applying for PGT posts, but also in enhancing your educational qualification.
