Answer: CDSE or Combined Defence Services examination is held twice a year for recruitment to office cadre of the Army, Navy and Air force. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts written examination for the eligible candidates and those who qualify it are called for an interview. The written test consists of objective type questions based on knowledge of English language, general knowledge, science and elementary mathematics. There is negative marking too so you need to be thorough in the preparation. Try to solve as many sample papers as you can as it will help you pick up speed, awareness and pattern of exam.
