Hindustan Paper Corporation Limited inviting applications from the energetic and eligible candidates for undergoing one year “Apprenticeship Training” under the Apprentices Act 1961 as amended in 1973 & 1986 at Nagaon Paper Mill, Kagajnagar, Assam & Cachar Paper Mill, Panchgram, Assam. The details of Training Category Wise, other terms and conditions to be fulfilled and other requirements like revalent documents etc. are mentioned below. Hindustan Paper Corporation (HPC) is an extended arm of the Union Government to intensify the movement for literacy through the growth of the paper industry. The Government of India set up the Hindustan Paper Corporation (HPC) on May 29, 1970. HPC was entrusted with the task of producing substantial volumes of cultural varieties of paper and newsprint to maintain stability of price in a volatile market.

Essential Qualification  :       

For Category – 1 - “Engineering Graduate Apprentices”

  • A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University.
  •  A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of parliament.
  • Graduate examination of professional bodies recognized by the Central Government as equivalent to degree.

For Category – 2 - “Technician (Diploma Holder) Apprentices”

  • A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government.
  • A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by an University.
  • A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by an institute recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.

For Category – 3 - “Technician (Vocational) Apprentices”

  • A Certificate in vocational course involving two years of study after the completion of the secondary stage of school education recognized by All India Council for Technical Education.

Age Limit & Relaxation

Age should Not less than fourteen years and upper age limit is 30 years as on 01.01.2014 . The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ ST candidate, 3 years for OBC candidate and 10 years for Persons  with Disability.

Reservation 

The provisions of Govt. directives for engagement of Apprentices in  SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD Category will be applicable.

Stipened Per Month

  • For Category – 1 - “Engineering Graduate Apprentices”  :   Rs. 3,560/- Per Month.
  • For Category – 2 - “Technician (Diploma Holder) Apprentices”  :   Rs. 2,530/- Per Month.
  • For Category – 3 - “Technician (Vocational) Apprentices”  :   Rs. 1,970/- Per Month.

Other Terms & Conditions

  • No Engineering graduate or diploma holder or vocational certificate holder who had training or job experience for a period of one year or more, after the attainment of the required qualifications shall be eligible for being engaged as an  apprentice under the Act.
  • Candidates who have secured 60% and above marks in their Final Examination in 2013 - 2014 will be preferred.
  • The Training will be governed by the Apprentices Act 1961 as Amended in 1973 & 1986.
  •  Only general medical check-up free of cost at our HPC, NPM/ CPM Hospital.
  • Apprentices will not be provided accommodation and will be required to make their own boarding & lodging arrangements. However, Company vacant quarters may be provided on request subject to availability on chargeable basis.
  • No T.A. will be given at the time of selection test / interview as well as at the time of joining training.
  • No transport facilities will be given.
  • No promise of employment after expiry of training period.
  • Carry out all obligations under the Apprentices Act 1961 as Amended in 1973 & 1986.
  • Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.

Note  :

The Candidate who fulfill above norms may apply on plain paper to the Deputy General Manager (HR & ES), HPC Ltd, Nagaon Paper Mill, P.O. Kagajnagar, Dist: Morigaon, Assam, PIN-782413 in case of NPM and to Deputy General Manager (HR&ES), HPC Ltd, Cachar Paper Mill, P.O. Panchgram, Dist: Hailakandi, Assam, PIN-788802 for CPM. The last date of receipt of application at NPM / CPM is extended upto 15th December,2013.

Selection Procedure

The candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in written test/trade test/interviews, which might be conducted by the administration.
