HSSC Constable Eligibility Criteria and Age Limit

The candidates applying for the posts must have completed 10+2 from a recognised board/institution. They should have studied Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects at the Matric level. There will be no additional advantage given to candidates based on their higher education qualifications. The age of the candidate should be between 18 and 25 years old as of April 1, 2024. However, there is relaxation in the upper age limit for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

HSSC Constable Selection Procedure

HSSC will invite candidates based on their scores in CET. The selected candidates will undergo  a physical measurement test and a physical screening test, which will be qualifying in nature and ranks will not be decided based on those. The shortlisted candidates, equal to four times the advertised post, will be called for knowledge test.

The knowledge test will be of 64.5 marks only and the knowledge test will largely contain questions about the general knowledge and upkeep, maintenance and management of horses.
