IAS main 2013 will be commencing from 1 December 2013. There will be an Essay paper of 250 marks. In the new pattern the essay paper has a greater weightage in the total Marks. The Essay is an Important paper of the in the final result and this time it will have a more say in the final result.

The essay provides the freedom to the candidate to express his or her ideas in a flexible manner and without any limitations. But this freedom should be utilized by the candidate to its fullest.
