IBPS PO, IBPS RRB & NABARD Exam: Sentence Rearrangement Exercise based on ‘The Hindu’

    It has been observed in the recent years that bank examinations focus on passages based on economic and social issues, business and finance, banking etc taken from leading newspapers such as The Hindu, The Economic Times, The Times of India, The Indian Express etc. Here the banking team of Jagranjosh is presenting to you a passage for Sentence Arrangement questions taken from ‘The Hindu’ (dated 28th September 2016). Candidates are advised to attempt the quiz to prepare for upcoming examinations.

    Question (1-5): Rearrange the following six sentences A, B, C, D, E and F in order to form a meaningful paragraph and then answer the questions that follow

    A. Without water from these rivers, it was very difficult from Pakistan to carry out agricultural activities in the country because there was no other major source of irrigation in the country.
    B. It was on this basis that the Indus Treaty was signed in 1960 and it was decided that the tributaries of the Indus would be shared between India and Pakistan and they would use water from the rivers on an equal basis.
    C. However, there have been instances in the past when there have been issues regarding the water sharing and given the present state of affairs, future also does not hold much optimism either.
