IIM Ahmedabad has completed the Summer Placement drive for the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) batch of 2016-18. The placement drive was conducted in three distinct batches across 17 sectors. In the placement drive, more than 130 students participated to get placed in their dream company.
Amazon was the top recruiter of the summer placement drive at IIM-A, having made 21offers. In addition, students also got the opportunity to work under the mentorship of Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE). CIIE is an initiative within which the students get a chance to work on their entrepreneurial ideas. In the current PGP Batch, 5 students opted out from the summer placement drive, in order to dwell upon their entrepreneurial venture.
Various management consultancy firms also participated and Accenture Strategy topped the charts by making 16 offers. Among the banking, finance services, and insurance (BFSI) cohort that came to the campus American Express and FinIQ were the top recruiters. In the Consumer Goods cohort, Hindustan Unilever recruited 10 students. In the General Management cohort, the top recruiters were Aditya Birla Group and Tata Administrative Service. Vedanta was the new recruiter in the Core Manufacturing &Infra cohort and they made 6 offers for the students.
In all, IIM Ahmedabad has successfully completed the Summer Placement drive for the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) batch of 2016-18.
