Sep 27, 2013 03:32 IST

Last week, the Naoshera Brigade of Indian Army organized an educational-cum-motivational tour named as “CARVAN-E-HIND” for a group of selected 20 students from the remote border areas of Naoshera Tehsil, Rajouri District (J&K).
During the tour, the students visited Mumbai to take a go around Gateway of India, Elephanta Caves, Mahalakshmi temple, Haji Ali Dargah, Nehru Planetarium and Taraporevala Aquarium. Visiting these places that are rich with national heritage and educational value has been a great experience to the students of remote areas.
The tour brought the students a great opportunity to see development in Mumbai, instilled in them a sense of national pride. Parents of these students expressed their gratitude towards the Indian Army for letting their children see other parts of the country, which otherwise would not have been possible.
