UPSC changed the exam pattern of Indian Forest Service Examination from 2013 by introducing a component of screening mechanism through civil services preliminary examination. All the candidates are required to appear in the prelims exam and qualify the same for going to the second stage of Indian forest services main examination (Written and Interview).
UPSC will conduct the IAS prelim exam 2013 on 26 May. The exam will consist of 2 papers; paper 1 and paper 2(CSAT). There will be 100 questions in paper 1. It was earlier known as General Studies. The time duration will be of 2 hours. The question paper will carry 200 marks. There will be penalty for wrong answer (0.33). CSAT paper will have 80 questions. It will aso carry 200 marks and its time duration is same which is 2 hours.
You can find the answer to each question at the end of the solved question paper. The Civil Services expert team of jagranjosh.com has done its best to provide the correct answers to all questions. In case you find any discrepancy, kindly let us know.
If you find that most of the answers given by you in the examination hall were wrong, don’t panic. Try to analyse your failure. The questions were equally difficult for all the students. You still have a chance to qualify for the IAS main exam.
For those students who have answered most of the questions correctly, it’s not the time to get complacent. Identify your strong and weak areas and start preparing for IAS Main exam accordingly.
The solved question paper will help you in preparing for the upcoming state civil services and other competitive exams as well. It’s time now to steer your exam preparation in the right direction.
