Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences Notified Recruitment for 26 Faculty posts 2014

Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences invited applications for recruitment of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in different departments of Medical College and Institute. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 8 March 2014. IGIMS was established on 19 November 1983, as an autonomous organisation on the pattern of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. It is one of the main health care institutions in the state of Bihar. It is the only superspecialist institute of Bihar. The institute provides education in medicine and conducts health and medicinal research.

Age limit

Candidate upper age limit should be 50 years as on 28 February 2014 for all posts.

Educational Qualification

• A Medical Qualification included in I or II schedule or part– II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act. 1956.
• Post graduate qualification i.e. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent there to in the respective discipline/subject.
• M.Ch. for Surgical Super-specialties and D.M. for Medical Super-specialties or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

Application Fee

Candidate need to pay application fee of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 125/- in case of SC/ST candidates) in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director, IGIMS, Patna, payable at Patna.

Pay Scale

• Professor: Rs. 37400 to 67000 + GP- Rs. 10,500 + NPA
• Associate professor: Rs. 37400 to 67000 + GP- Rs. 9, 000 + NPA
• Assistant professor: Rs. 15600 to 39100 + GP- Rs. 6,000 + NPA

Selection process

Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Interview.
