IRMA was established in 1979 at Anand, Gujarat with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC), the Government of India, the Government of Gujarat, erstwhile Indian Dairy Corporation, and the National Dairy Development Board to provide management education, training, research and consultancy support to co-operatives and rural development organisations in India.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification- PRM: Graduates with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PWD) or an equivalent GPA from a recognised Indian or foreign University/ Institution are eligible to apply. Final year students, who expect to obtain 50% aggregate marks and will complete all requirements of graduation before 11 June 2012, can also apply. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
Educational Qualification- FPRM: Candidates with any one of the following qualification are eligible to apply:
- Post-Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised institution with 55% and 50% marks at graduation level
- PRM from IRMA
- 4 year professional degree (engineering, agricultural sciences etc.) with 60% marks and at least one year work experience
- 5 year professional degree (medicine, veterinary science, architecture etc.) with 60% marks are eligible for 5% relaxation in the marks specified above.
- Candidates who expect to fulfil the eligibility requirement before 11 June 2012 may also apply.
Selection Procedure: Candidates, for both the above programmes, will be selected on the basis of written test which will be conducted on 13 November 2011 from 9.15 am to 12.15 pm in 27 centres across India.
- Candidates applying for PRM will go through group discussion and interview after clearing written test.
- Candidates applying for FPRM will go through interview and presentation of an essay after clearing written test. Candidates with PRM qualification from IRMA applying for FPRM are exempt for written test.
How to Apply
An applicant can opt for one of the following options:
- Apply online and pay through payment gateway.
- Make payment at any branch of IMS learning centre, after getting IMS receipt, apply only through IRMA website by using IMS receipt number.
- Take a print out of SBI Challan available on IRMA website in the admission link. Make payment at any branch of SBI by using the challan. SBI would then issue a unique ID number. Use this unique ID number and apply online through IRMA website.
- Printed application material (prospectus, application forms, etc.) may be obtained from Admission Office, Anand - 388001 on payment of full fees.
