JEE MAIN: AIR & Seat Allocation Schedule Announced

All India Ranking for candidates who appeared for JEE (Mains) 2014 has been declared. The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has also announced The seat allocation Procedure and Dates.

JEE MAIN: AIR & Seat Allocation Schedule Announced:
All India Ranking for candidates who appeared for JEE (Mains) 2014 has been declared. These rankings are delared by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the authority which conducted the national level test for engineering. Candidates can check their score at the below mentioned link:

  The JEE (main) ranks will be used by 30 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), 13 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITS, IIITM & IIITDM) and 16 other Central /State Government Funded Technical Institutes for providing admissions to successful candidates in various undergraduate engineering programmes. Around 13 lakh engineering aspirants appeared for the exam. The final rank list of JEE Main 2014 will be based on the combination of JEE Main 2014 scores (60% weightage) and class 12th scores (40% weightage).   The rank card is consisting  of the 'All India rank', 'state rank' and 'category rank' of the candidate. It includes the total marks scored by a candidate along with the marks scored by them in individual subjects.
  The JEE (Main) 2014 results that were declared on May 2 allowed 1.5 lakh candidate to appear for JEE (Advanced ) , the gateway to 16 IITs and ISM.  The first round counseling for JEE (Advanced) is already over surprisingly leaving many seats vacant.

Seat Allottment Schedule:
The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) that will coordinate the seat allotment procedure for the JEE Main rank holders in NITs and other centrally funded or private engineering colleges have released the tentative schedule of JEE Main 2014 counselling. Documents Required:

  • Printout of locked choices and terms and conditions taken from the CSAB website and duly signed by the candidate;
  • Printout of provisional allotment letter;

Original documents:

  • Photo ID proof as per Govt. India norms
  • Admit card of JEE (Main)-2014
  • Score card of JEE (Main)-2014 issued by CBSE
  • Class X certificate
  • Certificate and marks sheet of qualifying examination
  • Proof of initial fee (Rs 40, 000) payment
  • Certificate of category (SC/ ST), if applicable
  • Certificate of category of OBC, if applicable
  • If the candidate has passed the qualifying examination from outside India then passport is required for determining the 'State of eligibility'
  • Proof of place of examination center of the final examination from the National Open School for candidates having Senior Secondary Certificate; this is required for determining the 'State of eligibility'
  • One set of self-attested copies of all the documents listed above;
  • One passport size photograph identical to the one pasted on the JEE(Main)2014 application form.
