Procedure:
- Candidates have to register themselves for appearing in JEE Advanced-2017. Registration can be done through the online portal, "http://jeeadv.ac.in" only.
- Candidates must read all the instructions before registering him/herself for the JEE Advanced-2017.
- Candidates must satisfy each and every eligibility criteria mentioned in the notification of JEE Advanced-2017.
- If any candidate found, not meeting any of the eligibility criteria mentioned in the notification of JEE Advanced-2017, then his/her registration will automatically get cancelled.
- If a candidate did not opt for appearing in JEE Advanced-2017 while registering for JEE MAIN-2017, he/she can register for JEE Advanced 2017.
- Application for JEE (Advanced) 2017 cannot be withdrawn in any condition after the registration is completed.
- Registration fee is neither refundable nor transferable.
- Detailed instructions for online registration will be provided on the registration portal.

Documents Required:
Candidates need to upload certain certificates and documents at the time of registration for the JEE Advanced-2017. Following is the list of such documents and certificates:
All candidates:
- A colour photograph of full frontal (face) view, with the head centered in the frame covering 70-80% of the photograph and taken within the last six months. The photograph should be such that it allows unambiguous identification of the candidate.
- Class X certificate if the date of birth is mentioned in it OR birth certificate.
- Class XII (or equivalent examination) certificate (for those who appeared for this examination in 2016).
- Scanned copy of candidate’s full signature.
- Scanned copy of left-hand thumb impression.
- If the name is not same as in the Class X certificate, gazette notification showing the change of name.
OBC-NCL category candidates:
OBC-NCL certificate (Form: EC2) issued on or after April 1, 2017 and conforming to the latest guidelines of the Government of India. Visit http://www.ncbc.nic.in for latest guidelines and updates of the Central List of State-wise OBCs.
SC or ST category candidates:
Caste (for SC) or tribe (for ST) certificate (Form: EC1).
PwD category candidates:
Disability certificate (Form: EC3) issued by a district medical board/competent authority.
Candidates required the services of a scribe:
Request letter to the Chairman of the respective zonal IIT (Form: EC5).
PwD certificate (Form: EC3) issued by the district medical board.
DS category candidate:
Certificate (Form: EC4) issued by a competent authority in the Directorate of Resettlement and Rehabilitation, New Delhi under the Ministry of Defense or the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
