Eligibility Criteria for Various Posts
Educational Qualification and Experience
Principal Scientist (Plant Breeding & Genetics): A Master’s degree in relevant subject with good academic record, 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is allowed.
An eminent scholar with Doctoral degree in the concerned/relevant subject and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research/teaching/extension with evidence of published work with minimum of 10 publications.
Scientists (Agronomy Plant Breeding & Genetics, Entomology & Plant Pathology): Bachelors’ degree in concerned/relevant field with atleast 6.00 OCGA out of 10.00 point scale or equivalent (Trimester/ Semester System or atleast 50% marks (Traditional System); and
A Masters Degree in relevant subject with good academic record, 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
Assistant Professors: Bachelors’ degree in concerned/relevant field with atleast 6.00 OCGA out of 10.00 point scale or equivalent (Trimester/ Semester System or atleast 50% marks (Traditional System); and
A Masters Degree in relevant subject with good academic record, 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
Assistant Professors: Bachelors’ degree in concerned/relevant field with atleast 6.00 OCGA out of 10.00 point scale or equivalent (Trimester/ Semester System or atleast 50% marks (Traditional System); and

Assistant Professors (English): Good Academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in the point scale wherever grading system is followed in the point scale wherever grading system is followed at the masters degree level in an relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
Assistant Professors (Computer Science): Good Academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% or an equivalent grade in point scale wherever grading system is followed at the master degree level in relevant subject from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign universities.
Assistant Librarian: A Master’s Degree in library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks ( or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.) and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library.
Sports Officer: A Master Degree in Physical Education of Master’s Degree in Sports Science with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) with a consistently good academic record.
Technical Assistant: Four year Bachelor’s degree in the relevant faculty with at least 2.50 OCGA in 4.00 point scale / 5.50 OCGA in 10.00 point scale or equivalent (Trimester/ Semester System) or minimum 50% marks (traditional system) : and.
A Masters Degree in relevant subject with atleast 2.75 OCGA in 4.00 scale/ 6.00 OCGA in 10.00 point scale or equivalent (trimester/Semester system) or minimum 55% marks (traditional system) or an equivalent degree of a foreign/ Indian University and
Minimum 50% marks at Higher Secondary/ Intermediate/12th standard (in 10+2 system) examination.
