Eligibility Criteria for Kerala PSC Posts

Career Counseling

Educational/Technical Qualification & Experience:

Assistant Professor in Anesthesia: Medical Post Graduate Degree such as MD/MS from a recognised University or DNB in the concerned discipline and 03 years Teaching Experience or such other teaching experience as prescribed by the Medical Council of India. Candidate should have Permanent Registration under State Medical Council (Travancore Cochin Medical Council).

Assistant Professor in Neurology: candidate should have Post Graduate Degree DM (Neurology) /DNB (Neurology) and 03 years Teaching Experience or such other teaching experience as prescribed by the Medical Council of India. Candidate should have Permanent Registration under State Medical Council (Travancore Cochin Medical Council).

Lecturer in Botany: Masters Degree in the concerned subject (Botany) with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent and good academic record .candidate must have passed NET/SLET or equivalent as prescribed by UGC.

Veterinary Surgeon GR- II: candidate should have Degree in Veterinary Science and should be registered with the Kerala State Veterinary Council.

Assistant Engineer – Mechanical: B.Sc. / B.E. Degree in Mechanical Engineering of the Kerala University or its equivalent. Alternatively, Associate Membership Diploma of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Mechanical or equivalent. Alternatively Pass in Section A & B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Mechanical Engineering.

Senior Scientific Assistant: candidate should have M.Sc. in Zoology from a recognised University.

Assistant Manager: candidate should have be associate member of ICAI/ICWA or MBA (Finance) / MA (Economics) Ist Class / M.Com Ist Class and Government  recognized  Degree / Diploma in Computer Science / Computer Application. Candidate should have minimum 05 years experience in concerned field.

Lower Division Typist - Junior Fair Copy Assistant: candidate should have passed SSLC or equivalent and passed Typewriting (English/ Malayalam) (KGTE, MGTE) or equivalent.

Refrigeration Mechanic: candidate should have passed SSLC or equivalent and should have National Trade certificate in Mechanic (Refrigeration & Air conditioning).

CSR Technician GR- II: candidate should have passed SSLC or equivalent and NTC n Instrument Mechanic/Medical Electronic Technology.

Pharmacist Grade II – Homoeo: candidate should have passed SSLC or equivalent and Pass Certificate obtained after successful completion of  Nurse- Cum- Pharmacist Training Course (Homoeopathy) conducted by the Government of  Kerala  or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.

Electrician: candidate should have passed Standard VII and should have National Trade Certificate in the Trade of Electrician/Wireman/ and should Possess Wireman's Licence.

Village Field Assistant: candidate should have passed Standard VII and should have knowledge of Cycling.

Housekeeper – Female: candidate should have passed SSLC or equivalent

Higher Secondary School Teacher - Junior – Botany: Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks and BEd or equivalent from any of the Universities in Kerala or a Qualification recognised as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by any University in Kerala.

Higher Secondary School Teacher - Junior – Zoology: Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks and BEd or equivalent from any of the Universities in Kerala or a Qualification recognised as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by any University in Kerala.

Higher Secondary School Teacher - Junior – Geography: Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks and BEd or equivalent from any of the Universities in Kerala or a Qualification recognised as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by any University in Kerala.

Higher Secondary School Teacher - Junior – Hindi: Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks and BEd or equivalent from any of the Universities in Kerala or a Qualification recognised as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by any University in Kerala.

Lower Division Typist: candidate should have degree in any discipline and Typewriting (English/ Malayalam) Kerala Government Technical Examination (Lower) and Certificate in Data Entry and Office Automation of minimum 3 months (120 hours) duration awarded by Lal Bahadur Shastri Centre for Science and Technology (LBS) Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD) or from similar / equivalent Institutions approved by the Government. 

Laboratory Technician GR II: A Pass in Pre­Degree in Science Subjects or equivalent qualification. SSLC or its equivalent for Ex­Servicemen who have passed  class- I Blood Transfusion Assistant test and have put in not less than 15 years service in the Armed Forces. Candidate should have one-year Medical Laboratory Technician's Training Course conducted by the Medical Colleges in Kerala or by the Public Health Laboratory Thiruvananthapuram or any qualification equivalent there to.

Beat Forest Officer: candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination conducted by the Board recognised by Government of India or Government of Kerala.

Last Grade Servants: Should have passed Standard VII and should not have acquired Graduation.

Veterinary Surgeon GR II: Degree in Veterinary Science and should have Registration with the Kerala State Veterinary Council as envisaged in the Indian Veterinary Council Act.

Asst Jailor GR I/Superintendent/Sub jail/Supervisor open Prison/Supervisor Borstal School: Bachelor Degree of a recognized University. Candidate should be physically fit and should have required physical stature.

Instrument Mechanic: S.S.L.C or equivalent and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum one year experience in manufacturing and servicing of scientific equipments.

Branch Manager Part I: Graduation from a recognized University with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate and Higher Diploma in Co-operation [HDC or HDC & BM of State Co-operative Union of Kerala or HDC and HDCM of National Council for Co-operative Training or successful completion of the subordinate (Junior) Personal Co-operative Training Course (Junior) Diploma in Co-operation].

Branch Manager - Part II: Graduation from a recognized University with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate and Higher Diploma in Co-operation [HDC or HDC & BM of State Co-operative Union of Kerala or HDC and HDCM of National Council for Co-operative Training or successful completion of the subordinate (Junior) Personal Co-operative Training Course (Junior) Diploma in Co-operation].

Civil Excise Officer: candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination conducted by the Board recognised by Government of India or Government of Kerala.

Women Civil Excise Officer: candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination conducted by the Board recognised by Government of India or Government of Kerala.

Pharmacist Grade II – Ayurveda: Pass in SSLC or equivalent qualification and Diploma/Certificate in Ayurveda pharmacist course recognised by the Government of Kerala.

Pharmacist Grade II – Homoeo: Pass in SSLC or equivalent qualification and certificate obtained after successful training in Nurse Cum Pharmacist Training Course (Homoeopathy) conducted by the Government of Kerala or its equivalent.

Part time high School Assistant – Arabic: Degree in Arabic or a Degree with Arabic as one of the optional subjects under pattern II of Part (III) and B.Ed/B.T/L.T conferred or recognized by the universities in Kerala or A title of Oriental Learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala and Certificate in Language Teacher's Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala.

Processor Server – Judicial: completed the course of study for Secondary School Leaving Certificate and should have ability to ride bicycle shall be an essential qualification in the case of male candidates.
