Last Day Today to Apply for UPSC IES/ISS Exam 2017; Apply through upsc.gov.in

    Today that is 03 March 2017, is the last day for all the aspiring candidates to submit their application forms to make themselves eligible to appear for UPSC IES/ ISS Examinations till 6:00 PM in the evening.

    Candidates who are first timers should not fear seeing the daunting task at hand as the examination tests you on core subjects and your overall character. It is not just an examination where only the brightest minds succeed but it is for the presumed average people who have the potential to toil with absolute dedication. A dream for one is a dream of many, such is the might and respect of the prestigious exams conducted by UPSC. Every year lakhs of students try their luck to secure a seat in the reputed Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service Examinations but only a handful are selected through a rigorous process of evaluation.

    UPSC IES/ISS Examination 2017 will recruit 44 posts of Group A posts of IES/ ISS Officers under the Government of India this year. The eligibility criteria for these examinations are strictly based on the norms prescribed by the Government of India and they are regularly updated. For this year to be eligible for the UPSC IES Examination one has to have a Post Graduate Degree in Economics/ Applied Economics/ Business Economics/ Econometrics along with other essential qualifications and for the posts of Indian Statistical Service one needs to have a Bachelor's degree with Statistical/ Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics as one of the subject or a Master's degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics along with other essential qualifications.

    The eligible and interested candidates can apply online through the official website of UPSC www.upsconline.nic.in   by filling the application forms along with other relevant documents required by the Union Public Service Commission.
