NCMRWF Recruitment 2017 for 29 Project Scientist Posts

National Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasting (NCMRWF) invited applications for recruitment to the post of Project Scientist-D and Project Scientist-C on the contractual basis. The eligible candidates can apply through the prescribed format on or before 3 September 2017.

• Project Scientist-D: 9 posts
• Project Scientist-C: 20 posts
  

Eligibility Criteria for Project Scientist posts

Educational/Technical Qualification & Experience:

• Project Scientist-D: M.Sc. or equivalent in Meteorology/Oceanography/Atmospheric Science/Climate Science/Geophysics (with specialization in Meteorology)/Physics/Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/Statistics and 7 years research experience in the field of Atmospheric Science/Meteorology/ Oceanography/Fluid Mechanics/Climate Science with familiarity in Data Assimilation /Atmospheric or Oceanic Modelling.
• Project Scientist-C: MSc or equivalent in Meteorology/Oceanography/Atmospheric Science/Climate Science/Geophysics (with specialization in Meteorology)/Physics/Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/Statistics and 3 years research experience in the field of Atmospheric Science/Meteorology/ Oceanography/Fluid Mechanics.
  

Age Limit for Project Scientist posts

• Project Scientist-D: Maximum 50 years
• Project Scientist-C: Maximum 40 years

The candidates can send the applications along with self-attested copies of testimonial/certificates to the Head, NCMRWF, A-50, Sector-62, NOIDA- 201309. Candidates are also required to email the soft copy of the duly filled application form to director@ncmrwf.gov.in on or before 3 September 2017.

Selection Process for Project Scientist posts

Selection will be made on the basis of performance in Interview.
