National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) has invited applications from candidates to fill up 1000 vacancies of Assistants in Class III cadre from open market. The candidates who have not applied yet can apply for the posts on or before 30 January 2015. The examination will be conducted in the month of April.
The eligibility criteria of the candidate should match up the criteria that the organization has set. Here is the eligibility criterion that is required by a candidate to appear for the examination.
Eligibility Criteria
NATIONALITY
A candidate applying for recruitment in the Company must be either:—
a) a citizen of India, or
b) a subject of Nepal, or
c) a subject of Bhutan, or
d) a Tibetan refuge who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently setling in India, or
e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and
(e) Shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
AGE (as on 30th November, 2014)
Minimum Age: 18 years; Maximum Age: 28 years (as on 30.1.2014). Candidates born not earlier than 1stDecember 1986 and not later than 30th November 196 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to aply. The upper age limit will be relaxed as under:

| 8 | Ex-Serviceman. Disabled Ex-Serviceman | The maximum age may be enhanced by the number of years of service put in by the candidates in the Armed Forces plus 3 years (8 years for disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years. |

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 30th November, 2014)
Graduate from a recognized University OR Pas in HSC/Equivalent (XI pas) examination with 60% marks (50% for Ex-servicemen, SC/ST and Persons with Disabilities); and the candidate should have passed in English as one of the subjects at SC/ HSC/ Intermediate/ Graduation level; and Knowledge of Regional Language i.e. Language of the State of Recruitment is essential.
Proficiency in the Regional Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/write and speak the Regional Language of the State/UT), for whose vacancies a candidate wishes to apply, is preferable. (Some questions may be put at the time of interview to ascertain the candidate‘s familarity with the Regional Language of the State/UT).
