NIT Silchar & Calicut campuses MBA 2013 admissions

National Institute of Technology (NIT) initially established as Regional Engineering Colleges across the country.

NIT’s Silchar and Calicut campuses invited applications for admission to their 2 year regular full time MBA programs for the academic session 2013-2015.

For Silchar campus:
Last date for receipt of application: 10 June 2013
Notification of candidate’s name (selected for GD & PI): 25 June 2013
Date for GD: 4 July 2013
Date of PI: 5 – 6 July 2013
Notification of candidate’s name (selected for admission): 8 July 2013
Date of admission: 23 July 2013
Session begins: 25 July 2013

For Calicut campus:
Last date for receipt of application: 6 May 2013
Notification of candidate’s name (selected for GD & PI): 10 May 2013
Dates for GD / PI: 20 – 30 May 2013 (Tentative)
Notification of candidate’s name (selected for admission): 5 June 2013
Date of admission: 20 June 2013
Classes commence: 17 July 2013

Eligibility:
For Silchar campus: Bachelors degree in Science / Humanities / Technology or equivalent

For Calicut campus: Bachelors degree in Engineering / Technology/ Architecture / Science / Commerce / Business studies with Mathematics / Economics as a subject of study.

Candidates sponsored by their employers to pursue an MBA at NIT Calicut, should forward their application through proper channel. They should have a minimum work experience of 3 years in the sponsoring organization, and posses all the qualification prescribed for regular candidates.

NOTE: Students appearing for their final year examination are eligible to apply (for both campuses).

Admission Procedure (for both campuses): Candidates will be admitted to the MBA program on the basis of their academic performance and performance in the entrance exam – CAT / MAT / CMAT, their performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview

After Screening of applications, candidates found eligible will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
Group Discussion and Personal Interview will be held at the Department of Management Studies, NIT Silchar (For Silchar campus) / Calicut, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai (For Calicut campus).

Admission of selected candidates is subject to their clearing the physical fitness test.

Application fee:
For Silchar campus: Non-refundable application fee of Rs.500 (for General / OBC candidates) / Rs.300 (for SC / ST candidates) through a crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘The Director, NIT Silchar’, payable at State Bank of India, NIT Silchar Branch.

For Calicut campus:
Non-refundable application fee of Rs.1000 (for Open / OBC candidates) / Rs.500 (for SC / ST candidates) through a crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘The Director, NIT Calicut’, payable at Calicut.

How to Apply:
For Silchar campus: Interested eligible candidates should submit their applications, in the prescribed format, and send it along with copies of required documents and Fee DD to ‘The Head, Department of Management Studies, National Institute of Technology, Silchar, Assam-788010’ by Speed Post / Registered Post till 10 June 2013.

On the envelope, candidates should super-scribe "Application for Admission into MBA - 2013".

For Calicut campus: Interested eligible candidates should apply online through NIT, Calicut website .

After submitting  the online applications, candidates should  take its print out and send the printout along with copies of required documents and Fee DD to ‘The Chairperson PG Admissions, National Institute of Technology Calicut,Calicut-673 601, Kerala, India’ by Speed Post / Registered Post till 6 May 2013.

On the envelope, candidates should super-scribe "APPLICATION TO THE MBA PROGRAMME-SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES".
