NMAT by GMAC 2017: Registrations to end in 2 days, Find out how to apply here

For all the NMAT aspirants, the last date for the late registrations window is going to end on October 14. All the interested and eligible candidates are hereby informed that this is the last chance to register for the NMAT exam. NMAT is organised by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) in India and the entrance is a gateway to Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai and many other associated institutes.

In 2017, NMAT exam window will commence from Oct 5, 2017 and will extend untill Dec 18, 2017. Find out the other relevant details about NMAT that will help you in registering for the exam easily.

How to Register for NMAT

NMAT forms can be filled through online mode only. A test taker must visit official website of the exam conducting body from 9:00 am (IST) onwards starting July 4, 2017.

  1. Fill in the required details and schedule the test on your preferred date, time slot and Test Centre only if seats are available.
  2. Remember that "First come First serve" principle applies to both registration and scheduling. This means earlier one registers and makes payment, the earlier will be able to schedule the test.
  3. Make payment for the application and then submit the registration form.
  4. Even after submitting the form, applicants will be able to edit only certain section like School Preference and Communication Preferences in their registration form

For the late registrations, NMAT by GMAC has decided the application fee of INR 2000 + applicable taxes. Interested candidates can make payment via any of the below mention modes:

NMAT 2017 Test Centers

Test Centers is an important criterion which one should check before applying for the exam. It is because you need to know which center is more close to your residence and is the exam being conducted in your city. Here is a list of regions where NMAT 2017 will be organised:

  1. North India: Agra, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Delhi, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Jammu, Kanpur, Lucknow, Noida, Patiala, Varanasi
  2. Central India: Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Raipur
  3. East India: Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Patna, Ranchi, Shillong
  4. West India: Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik, Pune, Pilani, Surat, Vadodara
  5. South India: Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad, Manipal, Mysore, Tiruchirapalli, Vellore, Vizag, Vijaywada

In all there are 44 test centers where NMAT will be organised during the 75-day testing window.

USP of NMAT Exam

For all the candidates appearing for the NMAT exam, there is one USP which makes NMAT stand out from the other usual MBA entrance tests. Any test taker can take the NMAT by GMAC™ up to a maximum of 3 times during the 75-day testing window. And as a matter of fact, the best score out of all the three performances will be considered for the final selection to grant admission in institutes accepting NMAT scores.

NMAT Exam pattern

NMAT exam is conducted once a year to grant admission to NMIMS, Mumbai. The exam is conducted in a span of 75 days wherein the candidates can choose their preferred time and slot for appearing in the exam.

The exam is conducted in online mode in duration of 120 minutes. NMAT comprises of 3 sections and tests the aptitude of the aspirants through MCQ based questions.

Another surprise that makes this exam a preferred choice for maximum MBA aspirants is, NMAT doesn’t invite negative marking. Hence, even if you make a mistake of choosing a wrong option, you do not end up losing marks.
